Marimekko Lokki Rug Butter

Description

Infuse your space with soft, rhythmic warmth and timeless Finnish charm through the Marimekko Lokki Rug Butter, a beautifully hand-tufted creation made in India from 100% high-quality New Zealand wool. The iconic Lokki “seagull” pattern, originally designed by Maija Isola, reappears here as a series of elegant, flowing wavy lines that evoke the gentle rise and fall of wings or water, rendered in a soothing butter-yellow tone with crisp off-white accents. Each undulating band is plushly raised and contrasted against the lighter ground, creating a subtle yet captivating sculptural texture that dances with light and shadow across the velvety pile. The dense, naturally resilient wool delivers an exceptionally soft, cloud-like underfoot feel, outstanding durability, gentle warmth, and discreet sound absorption, making this serene yet graphic piece a perfect choice for living rooms, bedrooms, sunrooms, or any interior that desires uplifting softness, mid-century heritage, and understated, buttery elegance. Important Tip We recommend that an anti-slip pad such as Total Grip is used underneath rugs to prevent slippage between the rug and the surface it is placed on.Please note: Allow for a slight variation of colours depending on monitor settings.
